Search Inside Yourself by Chade Meng-Tan was a great insight into the importance of emotional intelligence. One of the things that really intrigued me was the discussion about first indentifying a bodily response to an emotion rather than waiting for a physcological one. The basal ganglia sounds pretty amazing! It gives a lot of weight to gut feelings and listening in on those.
The two minutes of mindfulness was great. With the new plan of recognising physiological responses to emotions it helped with indentifying when a new emotion was arising with record speed!
